These earrings were inspired by a walk along the beach with my dog. Scattered along the shore were beautiful little sticks washed up by the sea — much appreciated by both me and my dog.
They lay there as if casually tossed about by the waves. That memory from the beach walk eventually turned into a pair of earrings called Driftwood.
I shaped and carefully hammered silver wire, then soldered the pieces together by hand. When the earrings were finished, I chose to lightly oxidize the silver to give it a slightly raw finish, and then gently polished it to bring out the shine where I wanted it.
They measure 4 cm in length and dangle lightly from the earlobe when worn.
